Making Famous the Name of Jesus

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. Welcome, friend.

I am just so thankful that you are here. My prayer is that the content of this space would invite you to a deeper, more personal relationship with the One whose love never fails: Jesus Christ.

A perpetual student of the Word, I have been on a journey of discovering the depths of a Love that knows no bounds. It is breathtakingly beautiful. I so desire all of God’s beloved to grasp the fullness of the Gospel and the lengths to which He went to give us liberty. Even though we will never know this love in entirety until we step into eternity, He invites us to press in and abide, with a guarantee that we will then walk more free. Here, I will share with you what I am learning in hopes that something may resonate in your soul. I don’t write anything that the Lord hasn’t shown me or placed on my heart, and I certainly don’t believe I have learned even close to all there is to know. My writings are often personal issues that God is dealing with me on, concepts He is asking me to study in more detail, or attributes of Himself that are vital for me to understand so that I may know Him more intimately and love His people well. Anything I share with you is not from a position of someone who knows more, or applies it better, but rather as a fellow traveler that desires for others to learn The Way. Truthfully, just like if I by some miracle discovered the cure for cancer, I am literally compelled to share the life-saving and life-giving biblical truths I learn with those around me. I actually can’t help myself! I have a tendency to be fairly transparent and will definitely set that same tone here. No pretending. Open. Authentic. Intimate. My time in group Bible-study has taught me that vulnerability binds the broken to the broken, disarms pretense, and creates fertile ground for the seeds of transformational love, grace, and truth to take a-hold. As a result, not only am I more acutely aware of the struggles of others, but I have had my heart softened with empathetic understanding, knowing the pain of pruning always makes way for fruitful flourishing. Although I personally still have extensive work to be done by the Divine Gardner, the fruits of joy, freedom, and certain peace have left me wanting more. There isn’t much more captivating to me than the magnificence of a soul blooming and thriving just as God designed it to; so let’s dig in and cultivate that kind of beauty together, here.
